Cancer Patient Inquiries
The Koch Institute is a basic cancer research center that is not exclusively affiliated with any hospital or clinic. Our researchers collaborate extensively with clinicians at many medical oncology centers, but we do not conduct our own clinical trials, and we cannot offer advice about treatment or trials for cancer patients.

The Koch Institute is located at 500 Main Street between Ames Street and Vassar Street, two blocks from the Kendall/MIT subway station on the MBTA red line at the edge northern edge of the MIT campus in Cambridge. Parking in the area is limited and surrounding roads are prone to construction. We encourage you leave extra travel time when planning your trip.
From Park Street, take the MBTA Red Line outbound towards Alewife. Exit at the Kendall Square/MIT stop. From Harvard Square and points north, take the Red Line inbound towards either Ashmont or Braintree. Exit at the Kendall Square/MIT stop. From the Kendall Square/MIT stop, head west for one block down Main Street toward Ames Street. 500 Main Street is at the southwest corner of Ames and Main Streets.
From 93 South, take exit 18 (Storrow Drive). Proceed approximately 1/2 mile to the Government Center/Kendall Square off-ramp on the left. Go up the ramp, turn right at the light onto the Longfellow Bridge and proceed through the intersection at the end of the bridge, directly onto Broadway. Turn left at the Broadway/Ames Street intersection onto Ames Street and continue to the next intersection at Main Street. 500 Main Street is at the southwest corner of the intersection of Ames and Main Streets.
From 93 North, take exit 18 (Storrow Drive). Immediately get into the right-hand lane and proceed approximately 1/2 mile to the Government Center/Kendall Square off-ramp on the left. Go up the ramp, turn right at the light onto the Longfellow Bridge and proceed through the intersection at the end of the bridge, directly onto Broadway. Turn left at the Broadway/Ames Street intersection onto Ames Street and continue to the next intersection at Main Street. 500 Main Street is at the southwest corner of the intersection of Ames and Main Streets.
From the Mass Pike (I-90), take exit 18 (Allston) and move into the second to rightmost lane. Cross the river, then turn right onto Memorial Drive, then turn left onto Vassar Street and continue about one mile to the intersection of Vassar and Main Street. 500 Main Street is at the southwest corner of the intersection of Ames and Main Streets.
From the McGrath O'Brien Highway turn onto Third Street, between Dunkin Donuts and the Lechmere Rug Company. Follow Third Street to its end and take a right onto Broadway. Turn left at the Broadway/Ames Street intersection onto Ames Street and continue to the next intersection at Main Street. 500 Main Street is at the southwest corner of the intersection of Ames and Main Streets.
Parking
Limited metered parking spaces are available in the area. The nearest public parking garages can be found at the Marriott Parking Garage or the 7 Cambridge Center Garage.
